Es Trenc
Es Trenc is the big natural beach in the south: around 2.5 kilometres of white sand, no hotels, salt pans behind. No shade, but a real Caribbean feel. Usually calm with wind from the north to east.

When is Es Trenc at its best?
On Mallorca, the wind decides which beach has calm water. Es Trenc opens to the southwest.

What to expect at Es Trenc
If you think of Mallorca and the Caribbean in the same sentence, you're usually thinking of Es Trenc. Fine white sand, shallow turquoise water and no hotels – the area is protected.
Behind the beach lie the salt pans of the Salobrar de Campos. In September you'll often see flamingos there. There's no shade: bring or rent an umbrella.
The beach opens to the southwest. When the Tramuntana or Gregal blows, it's one of the best spots on the island; with a Garbí or Migjorn it can get choppy. And in the evening the sun sets over the sea here.

Is there shade at Es Trenc?
No. Bring an umbrella or rent one at the beach bars.
Where do you park at Es Trenc?
In the paid car parks, e.g. Ses Arenes or Ses Covetes. Parking anywhere else is prohibited.
Is Es Trenc a nudist beach?
Nudism is tolerated along the whole beach, especially at the ends. Swimwear is just as normal.
