    Finca Sa Torrassa is a windmill around 200 years old near Cas Concos, fully restored and brought up to today's standards. The vaulted stone ceilings have stayed; air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a modern country kitchen have been added. Three bedrooms for six guests, 200 m² of living space on a 30,000 m² plot. In the well-kept garden there's a 9.5 x 4.5 metre pool, and the supermarket and bar in the village are 800 metres away.

    Two hundred years old. And finally retired.

    It used to grind grain here; these days it's for sleeping in. The old windmill near Cas Concos in the south-east of Mallorca has been fully restored without losing its character: the vaulted natural-stone ceilings are still there and keep the cosy living room pleasantly cool even in high summer.

    The heart of the house is the large country kitchen with a dining area and a view of the garden. One bedroom has a double bed (180 x 200 cm) and its own bathroom with a bathtub; the other two bedrooms, each with two single beds, share the adjoining bathroom. All three bedrooms are air-conditioned.

    From the kitchen you step straight into the garden. That's where the pool is, with a terrace and six sun loungers, plus a bathroom with toilet and washing machine next to it, so nobody has to drip through the house. Under the small covered terrace you'll find a dining table and a built-in barbecue, and there's table tennis and lawn too. Ideal for families and small groups of friends who like history and like peace and quiet even more.

    For many houses, yes – usually 500 €. It is paid on arrival and refunded after you leave.
