Packing list for a finca holiday in Mallorca

Most people pack for a finca as if they were moving to a desert island. In reality, Mallorca is quite well-equipped – and so, usually, is the finca.

Here is our honest list: what you really need to bring, what is already provided in a good finca, and what you can save yourself the trouble of packing because you can get it locally.

What to bring

• ID card or passport, driver’s license, credit card for the rental car
• Sunscreen with a high SPF, sunglasses, headwear
• Swimwear – preferably two per person, one is always drying
• Water shoes for rocky coves
• Light clothing plus a jacket for the evenings, and a sweater for spring and autumn
• Sturdy shoes if you plan to hike in the Tramuntana
• Chargers and a power strip – sockets are the same as in Germany (Type F)
• Personal medication and a small first-aid kit

What is usually already available in a good finca

• Bed linen and towels, often pool towels as well
• Fully equipped kitchen, grill, coffee machine
• Wi-Fi, washing machine, iron
• Crib and high chair in many houses

What can stay at home – and is waiting for you locally

Do I need to bring towels to the finca?

Usually not. Bed linen and towels are generally included with our fincas, often pool towels as well.

Do I need a power adapter in Mallorca?

No. Mallorca uses the same sockets as Germany.
